From thrilling high-adventure activities like ziplining and the giant swing, to cozy winter traditions like ice fishing and quinzee building, our camp offers something for every interest and skill level.
Groups will have the chance to challenge themselves, work as a team, and enjoy unforgettable experiences in a safe, supportive environment. Whether your participants are beginners or seasoned adventurers, there’s fun, laughter, and discovery waiting around every corner!
Spring & Fall Adventures
(weather dependent)
Camp Arnes comes alive in spring and fall with adventures that combine energy, excitement, and meaningful group experiences. Perfect for rental groups, these activities are safe for beginners while promoting teamwork, confidence, and problem-solving.

Thrills & Adventure
- Zipline (CA Led) – Put on your harness yourself, then staff double-check it for safety before you climb to the platform and prepare for a thrilling ride. (For Thrill Seekers & Team Builders)
- High Ropes Challenge Course (CA Led) – Strap into your harness (staff check it) and navigate rope bridges, swings, and balance beams (elements open are selected by staff unless prior requests are made and discussed). Builds trust, teamwork (if requested) and personal growth. (For Adventurers & Group Learners)
- Flying Squirrel (CA Led) – Harness up (staff check it) and swing gently or soar higher. Accessible to all ages and abilities. (For Adventure Lovers & Introductory Confidence Builders)
Giant Swing (CA Led)– Strap into your harness yourself, staff inspect it, then swing high over the lake. Exciting for beginners and thrill-seekers alike.(For Thrill Seekers & Team Building)UNDER REPAIRS

Cozy & Classic
- Archery (CA Led) – Learn to hold a bow, aim, and fire arrows at targets with staff guidance. (For Focused Fun & Skill Builders)
- Arrow Tag (CA Led) – A high-energy game similar to dodgeball, but with bows! Use foam-tipped safety arrows to tag out players on the other team in a fast-paced battle of skill and strategy. (For Active Fun & Team Builders)
- Disc Golf – Throw frisbees (discs) toward baskets around the camp grounds. Simple to learn, fun for all skill levels. (For Outdoor Learners & Focused Skills)
- Shelter Building – Work in groups to make simple shelters from natural materials. Encourages problem-solving and cooperation. (For Builders & Outdoor Thinkers)

Casual Fun
- Beach Volleyball – Play friendly matches, learn passes, and spike the ball. (For Social Players & Energy Boosters)
- Basketball – Shoot hoops, dribble, and play small-sided games. (For Any Group, Active & Engaged)
- Pool Ball – Roll a ball to knock your opponent’s balls into pockets. Easy, fun, and strategic. (For Strategic Thinkers & Friendly Competitors)
- Shuffleboard – Slide discs toward a scoring zone. Simple and social. (For Easygoing Fun & Friendly Interaction)
- Soccer – Kick, pass, and score in casual games. Great for beginners. (For Team Players & Sports Fans)
Winter Adventures

Winter at Camp Arnes blends thrills, teamwork, and classic Canadian experiences. Activities are safe and beginner-friendly while encouraging collaboration, focus, and problem-solving.

Thrills & Adventure
- Broomball – Hockey-style game with brooms instead of sticks. Easy to learn, lots of running, teamwork, and fun. (For Team Players & Energy Lovers)
- Toboggan Run – Race down our snowy hill for a rush of speed and laughter! With stairs leading straight to the top, every ride is full-length and full-throttle. (This is a guest-supervised activity, not camp-led.) (For Thrill Seekers & Laughter Chasers)

Cozy and Classic
- Quinzee Building – Build and crawl into your own snow shelter. Encourages teamwork and creativity. (For Builders & Group Thinkers)
- Ice Fishing – Enjoy a cozy winter tradition in enclosed shelters with wood stoves. Staff are available to guide beginners, while experienced guests can fish at their own pace. (For Cozy Campers & Quiet Adventurers)

Casual winter fun
- Cross Country Skiing – Learn the basics and glide at your own pace. (For Explorers & Nature Lovers)
- Snowshoeing – Strap on snowshoes and explore winter your way! Wander across snowy fields, through the woods, or blaze your own path—no need to stick to the trails. Simple, fun, and full of adventure. (For Adventurers & Trailblazers)
- Skating Rink – Glide across our open-air rink at your own pace. Perfect for beginners or anyone who just wants to enjoy skating in a relaxed winter setting. (For Anyone Who Just Wants to Glide)

Year-round activities are fun, safe, and perfect for rental groups, combining adventure with teamwork, problem-solving, and cooperation.

Human Foosball – Step into a life-sized foosball court. Move side to side together to score points. Simple and hilarious for beginners. (For Social Players & Game Lovers)

Fire & Bannock – Learn fire-building skills and cook bannock. Staff guidance is available, but guests can also try it independently. (For Cozy Campers & Team Builders)

- Orienteering (Map & Compass) – Staff introduce navigation basics, then groups practice short courses independently. (For Explorers & Problem-Solvers)
- Co-operative Games – Group activities that promote teamwork, problem-solving, and group bonding. Beginner-friendly and fun. (For Team Players & Social Learners)
- Instincts for Survival – An interactive game simulating life in Manitoba’s woods. Players take on the role of herbivore, omnivore, or carnivore, collecting food and water while avoiding predators. Staff guide beginners safely, promoting strategy and teamwork. (For Adventure Lovers & Strategy Thinkers)
- Initiative Task Course – Students will be asked to problem solve through teamwork. This promotes the building of self esteem, group cooperation and leadership skills.
