A Call to Renewal.
Help restore a place built from forgiveness and prepare it to serve a new generation.
A POOL BUILT FROM FORGIVENESS
In 1985, heartbreak brought a community together. What followed was an extraordinary expression of faith, forgiveness, and generosity.
Candace’s Story

Candace Derksen loved Camp Arnes. She spent her last two summers here, a place where she grew in faith, built friendships, and made meaningful life decisions.
She also loved to swim.
Following her death in 1985, the Candace Derksen Memorial Fund was established to fulfill her dream of a swimming pool at Camp Arnes.
What began in sorrow became something lasting an indoor pool at a Manitoba retreat center built on hope, a facility born out of forgiveness, and a legacy that has served generations.
WHAT FORGIVENESS BUILT
For decades, the Candace Derksen Memorial Pool has been more than a place to swim. It has been a place for ministry, community, and belonging.
